About the artist
Emily Thérèse is an Australian textile artist and designer creating contemporary quilted artworks that celebrate colour, texture and thoughtful composition.
After completing a Bachelor of Communication Design at RMIT University, Emily built a career in textile and graphic design for some of Australia's most loved brands. While she loved the creative process, she found herself drawn to a slower, more hands-on way of making, transforming original designs into tactile works of art through quilting.
Each artwork begins as an original illustration before being carefully brought to life in fabric, blending modern design with traditional craftsmanship.
Originally from Geelong, Emily now lives in the Australian Capital Territory with her partner Hamish, who keeps the numbers in check while she fills the studio with fabric, colour and new ideas.
